Tini the Drummer

I hesitate to actually claim myself as a drummer, but more as a person who enjoys playing drums. Being a drummer conjures up images of being of me being behind some 20-piece drum set effortlessly banging out complex beats that could kill a man. Its more like, I started playing years ago when I was in college. I wandered about trying to find a band.  Eventually some of already awesome friends were in a good situation to play. So here we are now. I was playing with my band, the Crash Takeoff, an indie rock, mostly girl 5-piece that practices in my basement during the weekend when Dek wasn't napping. We have played some rad gigs at Rock N' Roll, Velvet Lounge, and Galaxy Hut. We put out our second EP (finally) in February 2013, but by then I was again 7-months pregnant and drumming. We're on hiatus for now, but I'm looking for the next project to make noise on.  On some other occasions I have also played a taiko drum (once at the Kennedy Center, but that was in a mask).
